I think this is a juvenile blackbird changing his plumage. He's been coming to our feeder for several days and yesterday I found the chance to get a shot of him.
Birds do often seem to listen to the focusing beep of my camera.
Fresh and sunny in the garden this morning after overnight rain. We plan to be by the sea for the morning walk with Jinks, then to the pool for a swim, followed by a vegetarian brunch and tonight I'm cooking Sunday roast. "Perfick!"
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
I love it! This shot is quite heavily cropped and still retains detail. I bought the A6000 with a short zoom and also bought a macro lens. Now I have added a portrait lens and a long zoom. The menu is a bit complicated but I found a ref online which is really helplful - if you like I can send it to you. The camera is very portable and takes excellent shots.
@quietpurplehaze I saw the link you posted in a chat on the site awhile back about the recommended settings and have printed that out thinking it would be really helpful as I've really only had point and shoots before. The Sony bundle I bought comes with 2 lens and I am hoping they will keep me busy for awhile at least. I just melted at the camera store yesterday playing with the camera - OMG to be able to shoot so many shots so quickly is going to be such fun. I also loved the panoramic view where you can stitch pictures together.
