By chance I heard on the radio this morning the obscure fact that today is St Sithney's Day, patron saint of mad dogs.
I took this photo of Jinks recently but it's unkind of me to post it in this context. He used to be rather mad but in his doggy 90s has calmed down considerably and when we are home alone together he follows me around the house and settles down where I settle down.
He's not been too well the past week but has meds from the vet so hope he'll soon be fully recovered. Not that he's been making a fuss: dogs don't.
Thank you! I made a b&w conversion of this but I'm now glad I posted Jinks in colour. (I'm just sitting on the pato in a fleece, having put out fatballs for the birds & hoping for a shot or two. Jinks is keeping me company.)
Thank you, Beryl, on his behalf! (Had dreadful vomiting, bringing up whole meals hours after eating - the vet examined him thoroughly and decided he could have eaten something yucky but probably has been gobbling his food!!!!! We have to put his food higher so he has to reach for it a bit and more time to digest it. That's fun: this morning I had to hand feed him the lot from a height (including tinned dog food!)
Love all this doggy talk, we do love our dogs! Jinks is looking not the least bit mad I'm my opinion, just incredibly sweet as usual. Glad he's bucking up!
Sorry Hazel I seem to have deleted you from my friends. It was only when I saw the lovely capture of Jinks on thr trending page I realised. Hope he will soon be feeling better.

It took me a while to find the link as I thought the radio announcer said St. Cicely! But I think it was worth the hunt!

Thank you both - fingers crossed seeming better at the moment.
