Looking through some photo files stored on a CD, I re-discovered this shot, taken of Neil with me by Ray in August '73, somewhere in the Suffolk countryside.
It was originally a colour transparency which we'd had converted into a print. Who remembers those afternoons when the folks came to visit and you got out the projector and all sat round for a slideshow?
I've given it a b&w treatment, a small clone to get rid of a few imperfections (specks of dust on the transparency probably) and a frame from FastStone.
Now, of course, we can share our photos with the world with one or two clicks!
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
You have made a really good job of this, Hazel... much more interesting than those awful family slide shows when the presenter bored the pants off his captive audience. (It was almost always a he!) One of our neighbours gave a modern version a few months ago .. it lasted 45 minutes and there was no escape!
Always a he! Mother-in-law drove me crazy. She never wanted a slideshow to stop. I might frame this - now, will son notice it hanging on the wall?! Thanks for your comment.
Nice shot & lovely memories Hazel. This generation now will have so many photos of their kids at every stage whereas in our day a photo was a special thing.
that is so sweet Hazel. Yes, just the other day, I was discussing how as children we would watch movies at home. Out came the projector and the hired reels. Pre tapes and CD or DVDs
