Chichester Cathedral: a section of the window by Marc Chagall. Our daughter, Clare, is coming from Scotland to visit us next week and so we plan another trip to see this fabulous window.
@pyrrhula Thank you! If you could really see it in real life, I know you would probably be overwhelmed - Chichester Cathedral is only a small cathedral but has several lovely pieces of artwork. Maybe I'll post a few more pics on here when we've been on our visit.
Wonderful - and thank you for this shot because I didn't know it existed. The colours are remarkable and the whole window just vibrates with energy - truly fabulous!

I only found out about this window a couple of years ago. It's apparently one of only two Chagall windows in this country and dates from the late 1970s and is based on Psalm 150: 'O praise God in his holiness.. let everything that hath breath praise the Lord'
We saw, quite by chance, an exhibition of Chagall ceramics in Cérét one year on holiday and I also bought his autobiography 'Ma Vie' at the same art gallery.

I think it's a restricted colour palette in the window with red definitely the dominant colour - but I'm going to check that out.
