Time to make banana bread.

Oh, banana muffins are calling! Or bread. :-)

Oooh, banana bread on the menu!!

Ha! Agree with Jackie above. I have the same problem that suddenly I find my bananas have suddenly decided to go all black and soggy...

Good for smoothies!

Lol! I think I will be close behind you in making the banana bread! I really like the low POV and shallow DOF of this one

A great close up. They look beautiful like that but I also would cook them :-)

Great pov - I also put the skins in water for a day or two and feed them to my orchids

Apparently the alcohol level in a banana is high when it is in this state. Not sure if this is fact or fiction but a Dr friend told me this!!

@onewing I should have done that several weeks ago. Kept forgetting to put these in the compost bucket, so they've been in the refrigerator.
@jamibann I should have already done that. These are three or more weeks old. Languishing in the refrigerator waiting for transport to the compost.
@30pics4jackiesdiamond Nope, not from these. They'd probably make me sick if they didn't kill me.
@will_wooderson Can't hardly get out of the grocery store anymore with bananas that are not overripe. I don't know if it's the heat or what. These are too old to eat.
@pusspup I'll forgo that. They're too far gone to ingest.
@grammyn No banana bread here. These are almost squishy in their skins. Thanks Katy.
@corinnec Thank you. I should have used them in a recipe several weeks ago...
@rensala I've never heard of that. Might be the very think my failing to thrive orchid needs.
@wakelys These could definitely be intoxicating. I could have slit the skin and drank them that way. Way too far gone! @photographycrazy Thanks Bill.
@craftymeg They are old for sure. Thanks Meg.
@kjarn Thank you Kathy.
@bkbinthecity Thanks Brian.

I don't have a compost but I would definitely be tossing them into the woods! Excellent response to Katy's Past Their Prime Bananas!

@olivetreeann Thanks Ann. These went out the day I took the photo.
@joemuli Thanks Joey.

Something that I really don't like! I don't like bananas at all, but very ripe ones are disgusting! Well done for photographing something completely different!
