I've looked at a number of zebra shots on this site for the past year, envious of those who had the chance to photograph these wonderful striped creatures. Now that I'm here, I'm seeing zebras all day long! We stayed in the national park near Victoria Falls where the zebras, giraffes and monkeys roam freely on the grass at all hours of the day and night.
This little baby allowed me to get quite close- about an arm's distance away. He is a plains zebra, also called Burchell's zebra, with a uniquely individual set of stripes and patterns. One account said that zebras are black with white stripes? So hard to tell...
