Close-up of the bronze panel by Ghiberti of Moses receiving the 10 commandments at Mt Sinai. Interesting that during the Renaissance, bronze was a more costly material than marble.
The beautiful workmanship of the panels shows that the Florentine artists had mastered linear perspective. These iconic panels are some of the most famous works of art ever created. My photos don't do them justice but what a thrill to see them up close.
