Caught this guy — possibly a gray tree frog (“Hyla versicolor,” family Hylidae, commonly referred to as “tree frogs and their allies”) — on the side of our house … outside our upstairs bedroom window. I wasn’t about to learn how loud it could croak (remember, outside our bedroom window), so I detained him (her?) overnight in the garage on suspicion of [potentially] disturbing the peace.
This morning I released it on its own recognizance and then took it to some standing water in the shade at the very back of our yard.
I had a couple other shots of the frog I liked better, at least initially, and I got some really close-up shots of a young male Widow Skimmer — Libellula luctuosa, http://bugguide.net/node/view/780285 — but this shot shows the frog’s “feet,” indicating how it was able to get to a second-story window, and how Three Islands Press’ font, “Treefrog,” got its name, http://www.3ipfonts.com/family.html?sku=3IP00301

I love their little suction cup feet! You should have joined the insanity and put him on a piece of fruit or a tomato (Well, that is a fruit but no one acts like it) for the pic! haha Frogmato! I did a Frogaloupe pic last summer. It was fun. I hope no neighbors called the cops on your disturbance!
One frog on the side of the house is nothing. How about an entire wetland full of the little guys not far from the house? It gets really loud around here between late February and late April. Now that mating season is over all we hear is the occasional "hurrrrrumph" of a big ol bullfrog or two.
