Crab spider by rhoing

Crab spider

Camouflage is not an asset to this little guy! Easy to spot, though quite small. Those are “Buddleja” or “Buddleia” flowers where s/he is hanging out (diameter app. 3/16" or 4.75mm). Definitely a “macro” shot!

Submitted to BugGuide and quickly placed in the “Mecaphesa” genus of the “Crab Spiders” family (“Thomisidae”); http://bugguide.net/node/view/979409#1716308
