The Bawdstone by roachling

The Bawdstone

Today we walked up Hen Cloud - the place featured in Friday's photo - http://365project.org/roachling/365/2013-01-11

The bawdstone sits at the beginning of the climb, a boulder resting on three stones.

Another nice photo, it's a lovely corner of the world. I had a look at the blog post and it seems you did very well for photos; I especially liked this one:

Great panoramic shot, love the dof you've achieved. Lovely composition - there must be all sorts of myths and legends about this location.

@seanoneill oh, I wonder if it's in reference to my hen cloud! He's not from a local to me brewery is he?!

@seanoneill
oh yes, that's close to here. My Gran lived in Cheddleton for a while when I was little. I thought he might have been from Wincle Brewery as that's close to the real Hen Cloud.

I hope you get chance to explore a bit - the roaches are worth visiting - even if you only drive by.
