Leonardo DaVinci designed this 500 years ago - along with many and varied other war machines. When this model was built using the specifications on his drawn design it was found that he had deliberately incorporated a flaw in the gear system - he did not want this machine to ever be built. It was powered by a team of men inside it who used the gears to turn the wheels that it was mounted on. It had cannons protruding from it at all angles and it had a turret for viewing the enemy. It actually had all the design components of the modern war machine!
That's so interesting- it's as if he had to get the design out of his head but couldn't bear the thought of it being used as a vehicle of destruction. Good shot!
