My camera has limited settings that you can manipulate - so it's often a matter of tricking it into doing what you want it to do - and then keeping your fingers crossed. These two images were taken at the same time, same place with the same settings - but with a different POV.....
Hi Rob, I got your note about Macro. I don't have a macro lens for my D750 Nikon but I can get up pretty close but do extend the lens. ( Its 28-300 Nikon Lens) I use a tripod and shutter release too sometimes to stop any movement of camera shake. The flower object is up very close to my lens but I have to move back a bit to get the focus right. I check Im not under exposed but if I am It can be fixed in an editing programme. Only the four point and things in that plane will be in focus. Then I take it. Several sometimes to choose the best one. It is a tricky business and Im just learning and I really should get a dedicated Marco lens !
@fr1da LOL Frida - I'm such a chook! When I read your intro I thought it was some other sort of unknown (to me!) special technique you were practising. And reading what you have just said - it is indeed a very tricky technique - no wonder your close up images are always so lovely. I just use a Point and Shoot - so I'm claiming that as an excuse for being so dense!! Thanks for your explanation - it's so interesting to read about the details involved in producing your images. Cheers Rob
for your challenge how about holding your point and shoot on your head or at chest level - whichever you prefer - and taking a walk - every 20 steps take a pic and make a collage of the first 5 images.
@casablanca Hi Casablnca - thanks for having a look and taking the time to leave a comment. I hope this is a sign that you are feeling a little better and your back is responding to the pills and your enforced rest. Cheers Rob :)
