Well - not having any true idea what I'm doing I think this is an example of SplitTones. Apparently Split Toning is the process of adding different colours to the shadows and the highlights of an image. It can be used to create an emotional feel. Also creating a warm tone to the background can help bring it forward to cocoon the image while creating a cool tone to the background can help it recede into the distance. In this image there is a warm background on the LHS and a cool background on the RHS. Hmmm - is there really any difference? This is for the 52 week challenge with the theme of Split Tones.
