Such big catching drops from such tiny little predators. Each plant was only approx half a cm across.Several had already successfully caught something good....
@fr1da Hi Frida - they come up quite often here - but only in damp spots - and they don't last for very long - a couple of weeks at the most. If you're interested I think a Google for "sundews" would show some of the different types - I think we get 3 different ones here - and these are the smallest. Thanks for having a look. Cheers Rob
@jgpittenger Hi Jane - I didn't know what a darlingtonia plant was - but Googled it - these are also carnivores but not like the pitcher plants. They don't have a pool of fluid - just those little drops that you can see and a sticky middle. They like damp areas also and can live without actually catching anything. They are very photogenic - they absolutely glow in the right light. These are the smallest I've ever seen - very cute!
