These little things were all about 1/8inch (3mm) across and they were scattered all over the forest floor. It's funny, this still life was so easy to assemble.....
@overalvandaan Hi Saxa - it seems the natural world appeals to me more - these little guys were just waiting to be put together!! First time I've seen them in the forest too! :)
Congratulations for making the shortlist for the EOTB challenge.
Beautiful colours and your composition kept bringing me back to this lovely still life.
@madeinnl Ah yes - the litchee fruit (not sure of the spelling either!!) They do look a bit the same - but these guys are so tiny - only about 3mm across. Very cute though! :)
@4rky Why thank you very much 4rky! That's a lovely thing to say and I really appreciate it as I very rarely move any of the things I photograph. This was a special case for a Get-pushed challenge. Many thanks Rob
@olivetreeann hi Ann - I had never seen them in our yard either - it turned out to be a first time flowering for one of our native plants that you put in about 20years ago! :)
@overalvandaan Thanks Saxa - these little guys were so cute (first time we've seen them too) that is was fun to arrange them. Thanks for the challenge - it was good to try something different. Cheers Rob

This is a still life that's close to my heart, made of natural things! Wonderfully done.
