Tiny liverworts after the rain. Liverworts are in the same phylum as mosses, but they have flattened leaves and structure whereas the mosses have radial leaves. Both cute though. :)
That has started growing in my yard. I didn’t know what it was until now. I think it must have escaped from a hanging basket gifted to us a couple of years ago. Not unattractive but I don’t want it to spread too far.
@cdcook48 Hi Chris - if they are liverworts you probably won't need to worry too much about them. They need damp conditions and are only tiny. Each flat section is much less that 1 cm and the whole mass would probably be only about 6 cm across. Slow to grow too.. Cheers Rob
