@annied is my "Get Pushed" partner this week and she suggested a fun challenge: Go for a walk and hold my Point and Shoot at either waist height or on the top of my head, walk 20 steps and take a photo, repeat 5 times and then combine the results into a collage. Not as easy as it sounds - to make this work one of the photos is partially transparent.
Hi Annie - this has been quite fun. Not a lot of variety in each set of 5 shots (20 steps doesn't take you far out here. LOL) but certainly enough to make you think about how to put them together. Thanks for the suggestion. Cheers Rob @annied
@robz you have presented the images so well - I wasn't sure how many steps would work - I guess it depends on the walk taken lol - a great response and I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
@30pics4jackiesdiamond Thanks Jackie - it was quite fun!! I've tried a few others too. Thanks again for mentioning that this was a good learning activity!! Cheers Rob
@annied Hi Annie - I think the 20 steps actually made it easier - at least in this area - it meant that the images had a similar feel and made them easier to combine. I've tried a few others - it's jolly good fun!! My editing program was handed down to me from my daughter - it's quite old and cannot be bought any more - unfortunately. It's called Microsoft Digital Image Pro. I like it because it allows you to do nearly everything that the more modern programs do - but you are more in control and can manually manipulate effects and outputs - not so many "Guided edits" and presets. And you can create your own layers very simply. It's a bit like a big puzzle that you can keep changing to suit yourself.Good for staving off dementia !! LOL. Thanks for the great challenge. Cheers Rob
@jgpittenger Thanks so much Jane - it's all a big, interesting learning curve - so if you ever have a spare second please feel free to offer any suggestions for improvement - they would be gratefully recieved. Cheers Rob.
