Continuing on my UK vacation - Crossing over the Severn estuary into Wales territory by the Severn Bridge. Picture taken through the windscreen of the car which Ian was driving. Would have prefered to take it from the outer lane but I think this came out well just the same.
The Severn Bridge spans the River Severn between South Gloucestershire, just north of Bristol, England, and Monmouthshire in South Wales, via Beachley, a peninsula between the River Severn and River Wye estuary. It took five years to construct at a cost of £8 million. The bridge was opened on 8 September 1966 and was granted Grade I listing status on 26 November 1999. The Severn Bridge has now carried more than 300 million vehicles since it was opened in 1966.
Will be off for a weekend in Gozo soon. Will catch up on 365 on Monday. Have a nice weekend all.
