When I was a boy we used to call this jump 'Bomba' - meaning bomb or bombshell - because of the big splash the jumper made as he hit the water. Ian is doing it in this shot. I blurred the background to impress on the action.
I am just back from a fantastic swim, today. 3 friends of mine and myself swam around the whole Sliema bay up to the Cavallieri Hotel and back - John Brown would know, he was lodged at that hotel when he came to Malta. It took us around 2 hours. I feel great now. It has been quite some time since we swam up to there.

I think children everywhere play that game- we used to call it the "Canon ball " dive (I guess to make it sound more sophisticated than just jumping in the water!). Of course the splash is the best part! Great shot!
@jenrobcarr And here it is very hot - yesterday it was 40C. Thank God we have the sea where we can go and cool off. Notwithstanding this I prefer summer.
