Looking up the main stairs of Palazzo Madama in Turin. The palace houses Turin's Museo Civico d'Arte Antica (I didn’t go in there). The stairs form part of the additions made in the 17th century to an older castle which was erected in the 14th century over the remains of a former Roman gate. Two of the old Roman towers, although restored, still testify to the original nucleus.
Thank you so very much for looking and for your lovely comments on yesterday's picture.
