Even though I haven’t taken pictures during the wedding, and passed most of the time with my two grandchildren at the hotel pool during our week-end in Gozo, I still managed to take a few shots. I will show you some when I sort these out. In the meantime I will continue with my pictures from the second day of our Tuscany holiday.
Enlarge for detail, if you have time, thank you.
On the left is a merge of two shots I took of this chapel in the north transcept of Siena Cathedral. The chapel holds (on top of the altar) a bronze statue of St John Baptist by Donatello. On the right is a close-up of this masterpiece.
Donatello, who’s name was Donato di Niccolò di Betto Bardi (c. 1386 – December 13, 1466) was an early Renaissance Italian sculptor from Florence. He is world famous for many important works.
Thank you very much for looking and for your wonderful comments and the fav's on yesterday's picture.
Glad you're having a good time with grandchildren!!! Some things are more important than taking pictures ... like playing with grandchildren!! Great shots, though!!!
