Friday, 6th – Gozo. To while away the time before going for an evening meal we decided to go watch a concert of sacred music in Rabat. Wrapped up in our cloths as it was very cold, we passed by this house that had a glass door through which we could see an exhibition of the Way of the Cross. The whole room was dedicated to this exhibition and the pride of place was given to the representation of ‘The Last Supper’. There are quite a talented group of people in Malta and Gozo who put up exhibitions like this for Holy Week.
Joke: “There will be a meeting of the Board immediately after the service," announced the pastor.
After the close of the service, the Church Board gathered at the back of the auditorium for the announced meeting. But there was a stranger in their midst -- a visitor who had never attended their church before.
"My friend," said the pastor, "Didn't you understand that this is a meeting of the Board?"
"Yes," said the visitor, "and after today's sermon, I suppose I'm just about as bored as anyone else who came to this meeting."
Thank you so much for looking and for all the lovely comments on yesterday's picture.
Wow- what an amazing display to have in your home and to share with everyone. It looks quite beautiful. (Had to chuckle over that joke- there's been a few times when I would have attended that bored meeting too!)
