One final shot of the occasion of the feast of Our Lady of Carmel. The crowd gathered all round the little Balluta Bay to watch the fireworks – whatever they would be. There were three one metre-square patforms on the sea and I was amazed how they could carry all those fire crackers.
Joke: Husband and wife were sitting down on the steps of Balluta Bay, patiently waiting for the start of the fireworks display. The wife in an amorous strain turned to her husband and said: "I wish I was a newspaper. So I’d be in your hands all day."
Husband :" I too wish that you were a newspaper. So I could have a new one every day !”
