Today Malta commemorates the 53rd anniversary of the day Malta became an independent state after hundreds and hundreds of years of being a colony of one state or another. Ten years later Malta declared itself a republic and in 2004 it became a full member of the European Union. Malta today has a flourishing economy with full employment and even importing employees from other EU or non-EU states.
This is how the main road in Floriana looked like yesterday evening at around 10.00pm. The road is St Anne’s Street and is the main thoroughfare to Valletta.
Many thanks for all your views, comments and favs. Always much appreciated.
