This is the façade of the Cathedral of San Salvador in Jerez de la Frontera. Built in the 17th century, it is a mix of Gothic, Baroque and Neoclassicist style. It was declared Bien de Interés Cultural in 1931. It was elevated to the rank of cathedral in 1980.
The tower, which stands detached from the church and which is not shown in the picture, belongs to the former church, demolished in 1695.
Many thanks for your views, comments and fav's on yesterday's picture.
A stunning capture of this wonderful architecture. They certainly knew there work in those days. Love the use of SC . If I may say so, I think I would have preferred if you had straightened it a bit as I find myself tilting my head ;-) Fav
