AT THE CORNER TURN LEFT by sangwann

AT THE CORNER TURN LEFT

Was off again the other day – end of March, I think – to take some shots of part of the Cottonera Lines, a 40Km stretch of fortifications surrounding the three cities of Bormla, L-Isla and Birgu.
I followed the fortified walls of the cities till I came to this sharp turn where the dirt road I was following came to an end. Any further progress needed jumping down a one storey –high wall into the ditch which was full of wild vegetation and probably was blocked further on. So about turn it was and I started my walk back aiming to follow the walls from the inside.
Thank you for your visits, comments and fav's.
Beautiful shot

What a lovely walk that must have been, so happy that you took a photo instead of jumping into the ditch.

You have so many fortifications, towers & castles. For a small island with such a history it’s not surprising.
