The wet weather seemed to bring out the most amazing colours and as we reached Tarbert the sky lifted and we actually had some lovely views, a fantastic coffee time at Hebrides Art in Seilebost ( http://www.hebridesart.co.uk/) and just enjoyed the drive south very much.
@peacerebel glad you like it! This is as wild as it gets! We crossed from the east of Scotland through the Isle of Skye and across the ferry to Harris, then travelled north through Lewis. On the way over, the waves were washing over the observation lounge on the ferry!!! Thankfully we were well enclosed! Not something I'd wish to do on a regular basis! But it was worth it!
