memorial and woodland walk

Went for a lovely walk with a friend today, through beautiful woodland near Inverurie.
We came across a memorial to John Sorrie who set up the woodland walk.
In Memory of JOHN PARK SORRIE C.B.E. Farmer, Highfield, Inverurie
CONVENER: Grampian Regional Council 1982 - 1986
This cairn is situated within one hundred acres of Community Woodland created by John Sorrie in 1994, for all to enjoy pleasant walks and splendid views of the countryside.
Erected by his wife Lilian and family 2002.

We both enjoyed the pleasant walk and splendid views! Thank you John!
