East Aquorthies Stone Circle

We went exploring this afternoon - so lovely to have warm and dry days!
There are lots of standing stone monuments in this part of the world but I had forgotten that I'd ever been here before!

I wonder just how many standing stones there are in the whole of Scotland, there must be thousands! They always intrigue me and add something to the landscape.

@louisefrance they are all so different too! Several interesting ones here, but nothing on the scale of Callanish on Lewis or the Orkney ones!
