Well.....we did lots of preparation and research online but when it came to the day we only got a tiny glimpse of the actual event, along with a bit of darkness and chill. But the children did some lovely art and I'm sure that will generate some memories.
Three good things
1. Outdoor learning....so much fun
2. Lots of talking and great questions. ...like ' How old will I be when the next one happens......' well that's in 2090 ....so great maths....and he will be 82!!!!
3. Home early and Allan had some treats ready for dinner......so grateful!
I thought of all the teaching work & information passed onto all the school children plus the art work & viewing devices....all wasted pretty much. Sad that the eclipse was a bit of a damp squib in parts!
Like Pat @happypat I think the schools have educated the school children and prepared them so well for today eclipse -- the knowledge will not be wasted and the practical learning will have been so much fun fun ! A lovely image --I am sure you will have some wonderful Art work up on the walls in the classroom !

Thank you all for your lovely comments. I'm sure the experience will not be wasted and technology is amazing too so we could see what was happening in other parts of the country.
