Interesting range of whisky

Always generates interesting conversation.......
Husband is really quite a collector of single malts and happy to share with friends. Tonight we went to our local establishment for dinner to celebrate end of term. Had fantastic food and great to see it pretty busy. Friends we hadn't seen for ages were at the table beside us and we did enjoy the company. They came back to our place for a wee taste afterwards.. ...and lots of chat about distillery visits and beautiful places around Scotland and more.
Three good things
1. Catch up and family news
2. School holiday- love October break.
3. Shopping list time for family visit
Some great whisky there - we did a Speyside tour in August and got quite a collection.

Interesting collection of Scottish whiskies Sallie. I wonder if Allalan has a favourite. Harry got given a bottle of Jack Daniels fir spraying the neighbours weeds. Never tasted that but I expect it's a much harder taste that yours.

@happypat Allan goes through phases of whisky as favourite. Right now he likes Glengarioch 12 year old and also Arran ones are quite special!
I like the 'nose' of the whiskies but not sure if I actually like the taste.....they are quite complex and the after-tastes are so different.
Haven't tried Jack Daniels!

@sarah19 Yes I like a bit of whisky too, but hardly ever drink it. I like Irish whisky with lemonade or water but not knowledgeable enough to pick a fave. It's a lovely part of Scottish culture so good that you have such nice evenings with friends & can partake the dram.
