The day was so packed full of interest and adventure, from our 3am start, meeting new friends, driving driving driving driving.....in minibus and then in Toyota Land Cruisers. Initially we were on mostly impressive highways but afterwards, it was free range desert and some hair-raising moments......Top Gear variety! These drivers knew their vehicles, knew the desert and got to know their passengers quite quickly!
This collage was after lunch in a shady part of the desert. Our Bedouin guides did it all - set up camp, prepared the food, cleared up afterwards - and it was truly delicious.
Three good things
1. Desert camping was amazing
2. Interesting companions from all over the world
3. Good to try new things, taste new food and meet new people.
