Ice, Ice, Baby by sarahsthreads

Ice, Ice, Baby

It's slowly melting. Slowly. You can see patches of muddy lawn starting to emerge from under the snowpack.

However, they're forecasting more snow tomorrow night. Accumulating snow, not just little flurries.

Matthew does not seem bothered by this news.

The rest of us are trying hard to believe that spring will actually come some day.

This may be the winter that breaks me. Or at least makes me consider moving somewhere warmer...
Cute first experience shot. And that is why southern CA. keeps getting more and more people!!!!! (I was born here...... and it's amazing how few "natives" we come across.....

@aglennc I don't think I could make that drastic a move, because I really do love the seasons, honestly. I just...get a little antsy at the end of March because warm weather is still a LONG way off. Snow on Mother's Day is not an uncommon occurrence here - I have some crazy photos of our crabapple tree in full bloom in the middle of a blizzard! (That didn't turn out so well for all those blooms, a lot of the tree fruit crops were very poor that year.)

What part of the country do you live in?

Cute photo and capture of his expression. He seems so curious about the ice. Hopefully your Spring comes soon.

@aglennc We live in the Finger Lakes area of New York - far closer to Niagara Falls than NYC. And the snow in the forecast fizzled into half rain/half snow followed by rain, so at least there's that. :)

@cjphoto Thanks! He held onto that ice for far longer than I would have with bare fingers!
