As part of the "storytelling" theme for my class this month, I've been working on "long shots" - trying to include a sense of scale and the environment. Looking back I have lots of great pictures of my children, but so few of the house they're growing up in. I wish I had pictures of my childhood bedroom with its built-in window seat and butterfly wallpaper, and it occurs to me that my children will wish for scenes like that too.
So: the kitchen table. On a random Monday morning. The biggest kid off to school already, the middlest finished with breakfast and relaxing with time to spare, and the littlest pretending to be big and eating a bowl of cereal with milk and a spoon in a big people chair.
[ And full confession: I took the time to clear all the random detritus off the table before taking photos. Real life is fine, but let's not get too real. :) ]
