Now that I finally have a working refrigerator and freezer (huzzah!) I filled some balloons with water and food coloring and froze them. The results were not as wonderful as I'd been lead to believe by Pinterest (surprised?) but this one turned out kind of interesting - even more so when I freelensed it.
They were messy to make, messy to remove from the balloons, left food coloring on my fingers while handling them, and were definitely too staining to consider letting the kids play with them after. Maybe I need bigger balloons and less food coloring?
