I finally have the right adapter to connect my camera and my telescope. I do think that there must be another piece to the puzzle, because I can't imagine you could effectively hand-hold photos of smaller, less bright things, and I can't figure out how you'd attach a tripod to the camera while it's hooked to the telescope...but it worked to get shots of the moon!
