One time I was doing a beta rollout in Kalmar Sweden. I was walking to lunch with my Swedish Colleagues and I said in a surprised way: It’s the 4th of July. Their response was: And tomorrow is the 5th. So Happy 4th July 365ers and to those in the US: Happy US Independence Day.
@shutterbug49 Lol Debbie- You were not out of place at all!! IWe all just automatically associate certain dates with important parts of our lives. It's always wonderful to see all of your 4th July celebrations - such a wonderful way of celebrating your history. I'm sorry if you felt I was being critical - I'm afraid I often just write my first impression without thinking how it may be interpreted. Cheers Rob.
Happy Fourth of July to you too- and had a good chuckle over your story. When I was in seminary I often found myself explaining our holidays to the foreign students. Then out of curiosity I'd ask them about one of their national holidays. We learned a lot from each other!
@robz I didn’t take it that way at all. I always learn about new to me customs, traditions, holidays and so much more on 365. I always appreciate your comments.
