Spray of Roses

Since Old Man Winter won't release his icy grip on the nation, you have to go to where the flowers can be found. In this instance, a craft store.
Interesting shot. The roses seem to have the texture of marzipan, which is not inappropriate as there is also some icing there.

Very pretty

@cdonohoue - I think we are paying for the very mild winter and early Spring last year. I guess we can frequent nurseries and flower shops until it ends. I am bored of leafless trees, cloudy days and snow. But we aren't even getting enough snow for a decent snow picture.

Lovely image. I like the shapes and swirls of the roses contrasted with the white snow.

"Craft store" = silk roses? They are very pretty. I like the bits of white. Gives the illusion of a bridal bouquet.

I feel your boredom with all the bare greyness out there these days. We are finally getting hints of spring but still, only the barest shoots or tiny crocus are actually poking up their heads. Still you have managed to find some nice substitutes here.

Not long now, though, Skip. . .even the birds are singing differently. Keep the faith - hope you have a grand Easter.

@lyno- Thank you Lyn! I hope you have a blessed Easter as well!

@danette - They are silk roses. They had some silk baby's breath sprinkled amongst the roses and they even had fake dew drops on the roses.

@gardencat - Thank you for your kind comment Joanne! Our poor daffodils have been up since early March, but every other day they are covered with snow. I am wondering if they will survive being exposed to the harsh winter temperatures?

@wordpixman - Thank you Arthur! The texture of the silk gives that "marzipan" look.

Lovely...what a good idea....brown and bare tends to wear on a person.
March 30th, 2013
They do look beautiful with the sprinkling of snow!

@timrox - Thank you very much Tim!

@lynnb - I got really spoiled last year. Many kinds of flowers were in full bloom at this time.

@fueast - Thank you Alison! The white is silk baby's breath.
