Bombs Bursting In Air (Deux)

gave proof through the night
That our flag was still there. ~ Francis Scott Key

Yesterday's photo got me to thinking about how it might have looked at Ft Sumter that inspired Francis Scott Key to pen the words to our National Anthem.
Let us not forget those who daily protect us from an enemy that means us harm. Our military and first responders as well as those who work behind the scenes trying to head off attacks on our soil. I hope all my American friends had a safe and enjoyable 4th of July!
Beautiful

@mittens - Thank you Marilyn we did! Our youngest granddaughter slept over and then her Mom joined us for picnic. We then did some Roman candles and sparklers. Our Amish neighbors came down and their 3 children joined in the fun. I hope you had a great celebration too! Did you watch the fireworks in the Burgh?

Lovely composition... Fireworks are so hard to shoot. Very nice job - the flag is nicely placed.

@rosiekerr - Thank you very much Rosie. I am a fan of James Beltz's Phototips on YouTube. I watched him last year as he explains how to shoot fireworks. He has you set your camera in the manual mode using the settings of; f-stop 5.6 shutter speed 1 second and ISO 400. That's where I started but changed to f5.6, 1.3 seconds and ISO 200. Here is a link to the video : http://youtu.be/DZrGkc-c7wU

@skipt07 Ha! You didn't see any because I didn't post any ;) We only shot fireworks in our cul de sac, so I was limited in what I was shooting but I may try to take one of the shots and ETSOOI it.
