Our Amish neighbor asked if we wanted some corn stalks for decoration. It's hard to believe that September is done. The leaves have really started falling off the trees in this past week.
Love these subtle neutral tones here. It's been an odd fall here. The leaves are falling off the trees but the weather for the last week or so has been lovely, warm, and summer like and the colour dieplay so far at least has been rather subdued. I wonder if the lack of those cool crisp nights has reduced the colour change of the leaves.
@gardencat - You are very kind Joanne thank you! The past week was the driest week we have had for a good while. The temperatures were perfect and no rain for 6 days. Now that the temperatures have dropped after the rain the leaves are falling off trees like crazy. There isn't a lot of color showing yet, but the weatherman said last night that this is the kind of weather we need to bring on the color. Right now you see trees that are part color and part green. There is still a lot of green on trees.
