Prep for Making Applesauce

My wife has a dynamite recipe for making homemade applesauce. Since she got her Instapot it has made it much easier to make. It's amazing how sweet the apples are without adding any sugar or sweeteners of any kind. This will be enjoyed at our Easter meal.
A beautiful still life and I imagine the applesauce was a hit.

@gardencat - Jonagolds.
3 lbs of apples - cored, peeled, quartered
1/2 cup of water
1/2 - 1 tsp. of cinnamon to taste

Set Instapot to high pressure for 10 minutes then allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes

Turn steam release valve to venting.

Use potato masher to achieve the consistancy you like.

Very much like how I've made it, but I use whatever apples I have getting a bit of age on them. An immersion blender is helpful for getting a good consistency too.

A beautiful capture of these apples. I have been enjoying an apple a day with some peanut butter. Yum.
