That's right. Whereas before I had always been a perfectly law-abiding citizen (with the exception of enough speeding violations to land me in traffic school before the age of 18) this project has turned me into a criminal! Today I spotted an abandoned, run-down house out in the country and trespassed all over the property in an attempt to get cool photos. This place had it all: shattered windows, peeling paint, collapsed walls, "keep out" scrawled on the walls, and even a creepy basement trap door, which was eerily wide open when we got there.
I have many more photos from today to sift through and edit so you'll probably be seeing some of those later in the week. Assuming the police don't track me down before then.
Your defense -You were doing a photo-journalistic piece on rundown houses on the Internet and we are your witnesses. Nice capture, great lighting and angle - it adds to the spookiness.
@kmwilliams@peterauliciems Thanks! @hjbenson Thanks for the tip! I'll be sure to call you if I ever need to be bailed out of jail. You sound like you know all the ropes. :) @nikkers Thanks for encouraging my delinquent behavior. @naladka Nope, it's not HDR but the photographs all turned out beautifully textured and with a little editing it wound up looking even more creepy and wonderful.
Oooh. I love the creepy aspect. This is just plain beautifully captured. The weird thing is other photographers totally get the trespassing thing. We will help post bail if it becomes needful. :)
@nectarfizz Haha! Good to know! Yeah, I didn't think I'd get too much criticism for my confession here. @lacedxxoo All this time there's been a club and no one's told me?! Do I get a membership card in the mail now?
Very cool! I did a tree shot the other day where I was trying to decide if the no trespassing sing applied to me. haha Clearly photographers don't really count. Love the processing too!
that's a really dramatic shot. thanks for risking your freedom for our benefit. If you get busted we'll bail you out. Looking forward to more shots from your adventure.
It was so worth it because it turned out amazing!! I love the mood of your shot. I totally understand your story as I have trespassed with my project when trying to get those horse or cow shots to turn out right!! I'll help bail you out if need be:-)
Cool shot!!! and way to go..!! breaking the law can be fun..
