One day I will... by sourkraut

One day I will...

I've been thinking about getting back into running. I keep telling myself tomorrow will be the day and then tomorrow comes and goes.

I'm inspired by my aunt who ran the Big Sur Marathon last fall and my best friend who ran her first half marathon last month. but can't quite talk myself into doing it. It's not that I lack motivation since I already make sure to get my 30-45 minutes of exercise in six or seven days a week. It's not that I don't know what great exercise it can be as it was how I once lost 90 pounds. I just hate the idea of exercising in public. Silly, I know, but it's the main reason I never lace up these shoes and head out the door.
yeah... I do a lot of thinking on the same subject haha... nice focus here

Ahh that's why I took my mums treadmill lol. No one can see how silly I look in my house! You should do it! Lack of motivation is no excuse not to take photos...oh I mean..run hehehe

@andycoleborn Ha! Glad to know I'm not the only one.

@amz87 I do have an elliptical for that very reason but I just don't think it's as good of a workout as good old fashioned running. But hey, the next time you can't think of any photo ideas try taking a pic of yourself flailing about on the treadmill. I promise we won't laugh.

@sourkraut Hahaha how about no? I feel like you're laughing already lol

nice positioning - they almost didn't make the photo; I enjoy going for walks were I know no one else will be around

The last time I went jogging I though I must have been doing it wrong because everyone was totally staring at me as I ran by. When I got home I saw why. My hoodie had come unzipped to my belly button, with nothing but a bra on underneath. Awesome. I haven't been since.
Anyways, lol, love your composition and the stripes of light!

me too - lets set a challenge and go for it - I used to run 4km each morning and was building up to 10 regularly - then tendonitis . But it is time to start again. see how we go - I will be keen to hear how you go!

@pwallis Oh my goodness! That is far worse than any scenario I could have imagined. Don't blame you for making that your last time.

@peterauliciems Shame on you! :) I'll keep you posted about my progress, assuming there ever is any.

I recently started working out again. But this is exactly how I used to be! Love the processing on this!

I keep telling myself to take up running. I even looked into jogging strollers...then I don't. I just sit around instead.

@triciaanddazzle Jogging stroller yes! If I could just find someone to push me in one! ;-).

And Amy, really, we won't laugh. No, really! @amz87

@pixelchix Haha yeah, yeah

you sound like me. Only, I've never really been a runner per say...more like I get into some sort of work out routine and do really well and feel really great...but then something happens...and you know the rest of the story. :)

"30-45 minutes of exercise in six or seven days a week"
HIGH FREAKEN FIVE LINA. I dont get any exercise besides walking for what seems like forever around campus during the week. oh and back to the photo at hand, so love the composition. :)

You can do it, lady! Do you have any friends to run with you? Does your husband run? Sometimes have someone else to go with is motivation enough. :-)

Maybe this beautiful picture can motivate you :) I don't like people to see me run or do anything athletic in general. But I doubt you need running with the amount of exercise you are getting weekly!
