"At the first turning of the second stair
I turned and saw below
The same shape twisted on the banister
Under the vapour in the fetid air
Struggling with the devil of the stairs who wears
The deceitful face of hope and of despair.
At the second turning of the second stair
I left them twisting, turning below;
There were no more faces and the stair was dark,
Damp, jagged, like an old man's mouth driveling, beyond repair,
Or the toothed gullet of an aged shark. "
-T. S. Eliot
I've been wanting to do a shot inspired by this poem using my spiral staircase for the better part of this year. I figured it's high time I got around to it with only two days left to go in my project.
I can't believe you are on 364th shot, I can't wait to see your last photo, today!
It is so hard to keep up now on my 2nd year, the inspiration and time is even lower now, but somehow I am sure I am going to make it.
This is a very pretty photo, mysterious and it seems like your are going away....
Thank you, everyone! I'm glad I've still got a few followers who are hanging in there after all this time.
@alecio It's funny, I used to get a little annoyed with people I follow who'd already finished their projects and only posted once in a while. Now I understand all too well what a relief it will be to be done with my first year so I can relax a little. I hope you're taking this opportunity to just enjoy your camera when the mood strikes you and to post pictures you're proud of here. I'll look forward to seeing anything you come up with!
LAST SHOT TOMORROW!! You've almost made it :)
