A world away from the warm sunny climate of California today - it's freezing rain in South Carolina. Treacherous conditions for the locals, but beautiful opportunities for photographers.
Let me be the first to FAV it....this is beautiful!! And, so different from what we are experiencing here right now, even though it was a little cooler today! I am not sure what the light source is (lamppost, perhaps?), but I love how the rain soaked tree branches are lit! Beautiful capture!
Interresting how you have the three distinct features that all tie in with each other-- The moon half in darkness and streaked, the rain, and the beautifully lit rain-soaked branches. Interesting photo.
That looks cold beyond belief! With those marvelous photo opportunities, isn't there a problem with getting the lens wet? The photo is gorgeous, but if for no other reason, you should get faves for braving the elements!
@panthora Well, thanks for being the first fav, Osia! I appreciate the kind comments. Yes, the light source was a parking lot lamp. The background behind me was a very unglorious Publix grocery store. ;-)
@lyndemc Yes, nasty weather, but great opportunities. Everyone around me thinks I'm nuts. Glad I have my fellow nuts on line to remind me that I have company in trying to find the beauty in such conditions. Thanks for the pep talk!
@pcoulson Gosh, that's the perfect description, Peter. Cold, but mystical. Tonight it's supposed to be cold but miserable. Not normal for this part of the country.
@simta Вы знаете последствия ледяной дождь, ну я вижу. Да, многие деревья были вниз, власть потеряла во многих местах. Но есть красота! Спасибо за комментарии, Татьяна.
@Weezilou And that's why I use the lens hood! ;-) Thanks, Louise. It's not so bad, really. At freezing temps and no wind it's pretty easy to deal with. Now tomorrow morning, that's another story!
