Sugar Magnolia, Blossoms Blooming.....

....head's all empty and I don't care. (That's the first two lines from the classic Grateful Dead tune, by the way). A filler for this day as I was unable to get out and capture any reasonable photos for posting. This was taken at the outing a few weeks ago at the Huntington Botanical Gardens. The magnolia trees were in various stages of blooming. I thought it would be interesting to capture a bud against the fully blossomed plant, but the DOF was a bit too shallow for what I was intending. Still, it made the cut as a filler.

Wow.. Like the color of that bud. You may not like your DOF here. I do. I like the "fuzziness" of the flower in the background against the blue of the sky.
