During my trip to New York I couldn't pass up a visit to one of the world's most iconic deli's. You've never had cheesecake quite like the one made and served here. Right in the heart of Manhattan, Carnegie Hall is across the street and up a block or so.
You really should have checked out Katz's delicatessen on the lower east side.....you can get a pastrami sandwich that could feed an army and will give you heartburn for years to come! ;-)) Did you have a good time in NYC? It looks slightly warmer than when I was there in February.
I've only experienced about 6 days of my life in NYC and they weren't on the same trip! Sounds like we should have a California-East meet-up as you all know the good places to eat! And saying that I realize how empty headed that sentence is! New York is *known* for the varied foods and dining, both fun and fine! I hope you were able to milk that trip for what it was worth Ron...

@aglennc Joy and I were too busy devouring 2 plates of those decadent cookies! I *did*, however, get a nice photo of (what was left of) the cheesecake!
@stray_shooter I'm just in NYC for a few days- arriving the night of April 21 and leaving the night of April 25. Does that overlap with any of the time that you are there?
Well, Ron, my cousin and I went to the Carnegie Deli for lunch today on my request and they were closed because of needed repairs/changes to a gasline so didn't get to eat there.
@clake What a shame that the place was closed. I'm sure you were able to find a suitable substitute, right? As Osia suggested, Katz's Deli is another of top iconic NYC delis, but not quite in the neighborhood there. Next time!
