what's taking a major portion of my time these days is sorting through my boxes from storage to see what can be discarded. i have thus unearthed a box that is full of knick knacks that i have acquired over the years, especially when i used to travel a lot, before i came to canada.
i love thimbles, whether they be decorative or real. when partner and i drove around the eastern provinces in 1998 together with his mother, we brought back a lot of porcelain mugs, plates and, of course, thimbles. here's a couple of them with little wahoo who is home for the holidays from her school. for my get pushed challenge, i would like you to see little wahoo's actual size. as you can see, she is no taller than the one-inch porcelain thimble and not much wider (aherm! says little wahoo) and i mean her actual length (whew!).
thank you, little wahoo. and no, you can't be a supermodel just yet.
Thimbles! How cool! As a seamstress, I should have started collecting these years ago.......My cousin who is also a seamstress has collected them for years. These are very cool! So glad Sweet Little Wahoo showed up to show them off!
Cute! I had started a small porclein cat collection which got larger than I liked so I gave away most of it. I have a few pieces left that I keep out now. I just didn't care for having to dust the little knicknacks. Still don't. ;-)
@himynameiskirsty - sorry, didn't realize i forgot to tag you. here's my response to your push. it's not as artistic as i wanted it to be, but little wahoo is a project i will undertake in january for a whole year.

i've been sick since last week but when i get better and thinking more creatively, i shall try for something more artistic.
