i have crossed a thousand bridges
in my search for something real
there were great suspension bridges
made like spider webs of steel
there were tinny wooden trestles
and there were bridges made of stone
i have always been a stranger
and i've always been alone
there's a bridge to tomorrow
there's a bridge from the past
there's a bridge made of sorrow
that i pray will not last
there's a bridge made of colors
in the sky high above
and I'm certain that somewhere
there's a bridge made of love.
it's a song and you can hear it here:

@northy has posted a different point of view of this bridge

i must have a few dozen photos of this bridge already. i know i posted one last year from a different vantage point. partner had to meet an old friend of his in the west end for brunch so we killed some time before his meet up.
the song is from the 70's, when musicians could still write good poems (not two lines with a lot of swear words repeatedly sang for ten minutes), could actually sing (not shout or yell), and could actually write music with actual notes.
thank you for your kind views and comments; know that they are genuinely appreciated.
