emptyness by summerfield

emptyness

last sunday afternoon, we found this underneath the maple tree at the back of our building. there were a few blue pieces of shells in it. robins, for sure?

so partner placed it in one of our planters for decoration in our little garden.

filler for today as the photos i took with my phone this morning during my walk wouldn't download. ditching it tomorrow, would have to bring a real camera when going for a walk. crappy damn smartphone! it should be called a dumb phone. i had to do a selective colour to make the shot more interesting. did i succeed?

thank you for your kind visits and comments; they are so much appreciated, and i know you know that. goodnight!

Nice little set up for the shell. I thought it was in a real nest

@ithinkithunk - it's a real nest that fell on to the ground, partner picked it up and placed it on one of our planters. inside the nest were pieces of blue shells. either the little ones have all grown and flew away or some bigger predators (like that stupid squirrel hanging around all the time) got to it and ate the little ones. apparently when that happens the parents would abandon the tragic nest and nest somewhere else. thank you, kristen.

@summerfield lol I completely comprehended that wrong when I read your story! I blame lack of sleep and my brothers puppy for waking me up at 6am today!
